Seukscan Privacy Policy

1. General

This policy applies to the Seukscan document scanner app ("the app") from H1Soft ("the team"). The team complies with applicable law, including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

2. Fully on-device

Capture, corner detection and correction, OCR, translation and export to PDF, image or text all complete on your device. Document images, recognised text, file names and metadata are never sent to a server under any circumstance, and the team cannot access them.

The app has no cloud sync, no account and no share links.

3. What we collect

The app collects no information that identifies you — no name, contact details or account. There is no sign-up and no login.

4. Stored on your device

The following is stored only in app-private storage and the on-device database.

• Scanned document images and processed copies — deletable individually or in bulk from the library
• OCR result text and per-page confidence
• Document titles, creation times, folders, tags and favourites
• App settings — default filter, PDF paper size and quality, file naming, OCR language models, language and display mode

5. Sensitive documents

ID cards, passports and similar sensitive documents are handled exactly the same way — on device only. The team never collects, stores or views those images. For extra protection, enable app lock (biometric or PIN).

6. Permissions

Permissions are used only for the purposes below.

• Camera — capturing documents and detecting edges in real time. Preview frames are never stored
• Photos and media — only to import an image you pick as a document. Nothing beyond the selected image is accessed
• Storage write — only to save an exported PDF, image or text file where you choose
• Biometrics — only to unlock the app when app lock is on. Biometric data stays with the operating system; the app receives only the result

7. OCR model downloads

The app reaches the network only to download OCR recognition models for a script. Only the download request is transmitted — never document content.

8. Sharing, processors, overseas transfer

Because the app collects no personal information, there is no sharing and no processor. OCR model downloads use distribution servers operated by Google LLC (USA); no document data is transmitted in the process.

9. Deletion

On-device data is deleted at the following points.

• When you delete a document — it moves to the trash for 30 days, then is permanently erased automatically. You can also erase it immediately from the trash
• When you uninstall — every document, recognition result and setting in app-private storage is removed with the app

10. Your rights

The team stores no personal information, so there is no team-held record subject to access, correction or deletion. You control every on-device document from the library.

11. Children

The app collects no personal information from any user, including children under 14.

12. Changes

When this privacy policy changes, we post the change and its effective date on this page and in the app. Changes unfavourable to users are announced at least 30 days before they take effect.
