QR Scanner Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the QR Scanner app ("the app") from H1Soft ("the team"). The team complies with applicable law, including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
2. On-device by design
QR recognition and generation run on your device. H1Soft does not collect QR content or history on a server. Sharing, exporting or opening a QR link can send content to the app or website you choose. Section 6 explains the separate Android SDK diagnostics.
3. What we collect
The app requires no sign-up or login. H1Soft does not request a name or contact details for an app account. Section 6 describes installation identifiers and diagnostics handled by the Android ML Kit SDK.
4. Stored on your device
The following is stored on your device. Copies you choose to share or export are managed by the destination service or storage location.
- Scan history — the content of recognised QR codes and the time of recognition. Deletable individually or all at once
- Creation history — the type, input values and time of QR codes you create. Deletable the same way
- App settings — language, display mode and other preferences
5. Permissions
Permissions are used only for the purposes below. Declining one leaves every other feature usable.
- Camera — real-time QR recognition. Frames are never stored and are discarded immediately after recognition
- Photos and media — only to recognise a QR code in an image you pick. Nothing beyond the selected image is accessed
- Storage write — only to save a QR image you generated
6. Sharing, processors, overseas transfer
H1Soft does not collect or sell QR content or history on a server. Google ML Kit separately processes SDK metrics on Android, as described below; the app is therefore not described as having no external data transmission.
Android: Google ML Kit data processing
The Android app uses Google ML Kit. Recognition inputs and results are processed on your device; ML Kit does not send their content to Google. Separately, the SDK sends installation identifiers, device/app information and usage, performance and error metrics to Google for diagnostics, API maintenance and improvement, and abuse prevention. Transmission is encrypted with HTTPS.
This app uses the bundled barcode recognition SDK. Auto zoom is not enabled, so the additional auto-zoom session, zoom-level and coordinate data does not apply.
Google processes information on servers in multiple countries. H1Soft does not configure the processing countries or retention period for these SDK metrics. The ML Kit public documentation reviewed does not specify a country list or fixed retention period for these metrics. This notice concerns Android and does not describe the iOS recognition implementation. Clearing app history or uninstalling does not mean previously transmitted Google metrics are immediately deleted. 7. Deletion
On-device data is removed the moment you clear history or uninstall the app. The team holds no copy.
8. Your rights
You can delete local records in the app. Contact H1Soft at the email below for access, correction or deletion questions. For SDK metrics processed by Google, see the contact options in the official policies linked in Section 6.
9. Children
The app does not request age or child account information. Section 6 applies to Android SDK diagnostics. Parents or guardians may contact the support email below with privacy questions.
10. Changes
When this privacy policy changes, we post the change and its effective date on this page and in the app. Changes unfavourable to users are announced at least 30 days before they take effect.
