Mongle for Windows
The Microsoft Store edition processes personality quizzes, friend-code comparisons and collection progress locally on this PC. It contains no advertising or analytics SDK and does not send these records to developer servers. Test answers and progress, results, nicknames, friend records, settings and collections are stored in the app’s local data folder. The language preference is also stored in the current Windows user’s preferences.
The optional camera starts only after you choose QR scanning and confirm the camera notice. Frames are used locally to decode a Mongle friend code, are not recorded or uploaded, and the camera closes when scanning ends or you cancel. Manual friend-code entry remains available without a camera.
Saving a card writes a PNG to the Mongle folder inside your Windows Pictures location, which may be redirected or synchronized by Windows or OneDrive settings. Sharing opens the Windows share interface only when you request it. Temporary card or request files are used to pass your chosen content to that interface and are removed when the sharing helper exits normally. Windows, the receiving app and your selected destination control any further processing. Copying or importing a backup uses the clipboard; clipboard history or synchronization follows your Windows settings.
Use Settings to reset in-app records. Delete exported JSON, saved images and any external backups separately. Uninstalling may leave local data, preferences or exported files. Opening this privacy page launches your browser; website processing is described below. Support email uses the address and message you send to answer your enquiry; do not include sensitive records. Mongle works without an account, advertising or analytics servers. The developer does not collect or receive personal data from the app. Results, nicknames, friends, settings and collection progress are stored on your device.
The camera is used only when you scan a friend’s QR code. Video is not saved or sent. Permission to add photos is used only to save a result card to Photos.
Friend codes, card images and JSON backups are sent to the app you choose only when you share them. If you email support, your address and message are used to answer your request. Please omit sensitive information.
Reset your data in Settings or delete the app. Delete exported files and saved photos separately. Your operating system may include app data in device backups according to your backup settings.
This website uses a cookieless visit counter and, only with your consent, Google Analytics. These website statistics are separate from the Windows app’s local records. See our website analytics notice for details and controls. GitHub Pages may process IP addresses and connection information to deliver and secure the website.
